With a Kickstarter campaign that has just about reached its funding goal, Hell Let Loose is set to feature realistic multiplayer World War Two combat with up to 100 players. Throw in infantry troops, tanks, artillery, and a battle mechanic that means a shifting front line, it sounds impressive. And looks it too.
Featuring sweeping 4km² maps, the entire battlefield is divided up into large cap sectors - allowing for emergent and constantly unique gameplay that pits two forces of fifty players in a fight to the death across fields, bridges, forests and towns on an ever-evolving front line. When a sector is captured, it will generate one of three resources for your team, creating a complex meta-game that will influence your team’s march to victory.
Built using Unreal Engine 4 the arge 4km-square maps already look great even in this early stage of development. The development team includes talent and input spanning Russia, the United States and Australia. Closed Alpha, Beta, and Early Access is planned for the first half of 2018.
Looks interesting. Look forward to seeing more.
Hell yes. Aussie, aussie aussie! I just laid down Lieutenants Pledge on this, gotta support local talent making what appears to be a game I would love.
JackFrags recently did a piece on it and it looks awesome even in its pre alpha build. Jump on YouTube and watch the 9 minutes of gamepley they posted, it really gives you a good idea as the direction these devs are heading in. The very ending of the footage is (MG249) brutal. :)
I'm now a backer. Go boys !
