The old trick jumps were easier to do with high FPS and looking down when doing them.

Heh yeh I remember that, I went out and bought two Orchid 12MB Voodoo 2 from John Chan the next week, just for Unreal. I think I had a Pentium 100 in those days, with the earth shattering new MMX2 instruction set that was going to revolutionise gaming. :)

I don't suppose many of the old guys remember John, such a lovely guy, only to be callously murdered a few years later at such a young age.

Absolute nostalgia overload happening here on my end. I used to love reading my PC Powerplays and thought I'd lost them forever. The holy grail would be for some Megazone scans to surface.

I used to read a lot of PC Powerplay and I think I was in the IRC channels too.

Can still remember Diablo, Starcraft and Duke Nukem 3D blowing my mindhole.
