After a slow few weeks, the pledge drive for the ambitious space-sim project Elite: Dangerous has picked back up, passing it's £1,250,000 goal with over two days left on the clock.

The latest update reminds backers that the first stretch goal at £1.4M will introduce a Mac version within three months of the windows launch, and promises an increase from 15 to 25 playable ships should they make it to £1.5M.

Elite: Dangerous is in the works at UK studio Frontier Developments, helmed by David Braben, the creator of the original 1980s Elite space sim games, remembered for pioneering procedurally-generated content.
