Damn, I wanted to start this thread. :-P
Looking forward to it. Have to have a think about it. |
Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden - Bonkers NOFX - Creeping Out Sara Phrase - Paradise (Ft. Jackson Jackson) Sugar Army - Tongues In Cheeks Wolfmother - White Feather Peter Bjorn & John - Lay It Down Flight Of The Conchords - Hurt Feelings Phoenix - 1901 Kid Cudi - Pursuit Of Happiness Drapht - Where Yah From Is all I have right now, so refusing to vote for s*** like muse and the overrated monkies. ps: that guy who voted for all those muse songs is exactly the type of person I would hate to be. last edited by casa at 11:15:58 21/Dec/09 last edited by casa at 20:46:55 21/Dec/09 |

Mew - Introducing Palace Players Muse - I Belong To You Muse - Undisclosed Desires Muse - United States Of Eurasia Muse - Unnatural Selection Muse - Uprising Mew - Cartoons and Macreme Wounds Mew - Hawaii Mew - Sometimes Life Isn't Easy Apparently I like bands which start with M... |
Peter Bjorn & John - Lay it Down Is that this year!? Wow. Seems so old. Will def. vote for that. Will def vote for Undisclosed Desires as well, top song. Other than that I'm thinking something La Roux (probably Tigerlily) and something Children Collide (if it's 2009 then definitely Skeleton Dance). Also not sure if 2009 but Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps will go in for sure. Will consider Temper Trap songs: Science of Fear, Sweet Disposition. On the poppy side of life will probs go for Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars. That's my start anyway. |
Ah, "Kasabian - Where did all the love go" fo shiz as well.
p.s. Sorry, I'm using this thread to record my ideas, will come back here late when I vote :-P |
NOFX - Creeping Out Sara (not usually a NOFX fan, but Pharcyde told me they were good so I like them now) I hope your kids get addicted to drugs. |
NOFX - Creeping Out Sara - bit of a try-hard song but don't mind it anyway.
This will prove itself a massive fail if it doesn't end up including "My life would suck without you", "I do not hook up" or "This is who I am", all massive hits in 2009 :) Thermite voting? |

Bon Iver Phoenix (whole album is f*****g dope) Claud Von Stroke N.A.S.A Ween (Was Party this year) Phrase |
As an afterthought, I probably would have included Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind, but completely forgot.
|
I can't see all the hoo har album muse's new album.. Very bland.. Are they the new radiohead??
I'm sur there'll be a large Aussie hip hop in the top 100.. Hopefully not rigged like their last 100.. |
Empire of the Sun too, I think they will do well
Whole album reminds me of summer now |
I can't see all the hoo har album muse's new album.. Very bland.. Are they the new radiohead?? The new muse albums isnt anything like radiohead, OK computer is still one of the best albums ever though. The new album is anything but bland, its the most diverse album theyve ever done, have you actually listened to the whole album all the way through a couple of times damo, I wasnt blown away at first, but once you've listed a few times it makes more sense, I was just expecting/hoping it to be liked absolution, except it isnt, its better. |
Florence and the Machine or DIE!##!
|
i reckno if both harrisons recomend some music, thats a pretty good indicator to STAY THE F*** AWAY from it
|
i'm thinking my votes will go a little like this:
Angus And Julia Stone - And The Boys Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars Big Pink, The - Dominos Bluejuice - Broken Leg Hilltop Hoods - Chase That Feeling Jamie T - Sticks 'N' Stones Jay-Z - D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-Tune) Shockone - Polygon (Ft. Reija Lee) Snob Scrilla - Heartbreak Scorsese Lily Allen - Everyone's At It still some room for revision though |
pretty sure the list is all (or mostly?) submitted by users, so those would be the only Franz songs voted for so far.
feel free to add the ones you think are better yourself. just quietly i think that's the whole point, hey. |
mongie probably wants to vote for "do you want to" and "Ulysses" |
Triple J Hottest 100 = "Parklife / BDO Brooooooooo shove a pinga up yer clacka and f***en daaance/mosh/wear a fluoro headband"
|
DAPPLED CITIES - The Price
DOVES - Kingdom Of Rust KASABIAN - Underdog METRIC - Gold Guns & Girls PHOENIX - 1901 ROYKSOPP - The Girl And The Robot (Ft. Robyn) TEMPER TRAP, THE - Science Of Fear ANIMAL COLLECTIVE - My Girls PHOENIX - Love like a Sunset DOVES - Jetstream |
I had that problem the first time I voted, I ended up just voting for what I preferred, and its more satisfying if they get in. eg, Cog - Are you interested? last year, sucker came in at like 97 and i got wood |
it is called the 'triple j' hotest 100......
so songs are prob from there playlist throughout the year. voting for album tracks that werent featured on the station is kinda missing the point. but saying that, yeah, wood would be expected if you voted for a non-playlist track and it got in the list...... |
A lot of the feature albums get multiple track listings due to their week of airplay.

Aussies taste in music makes me sad panda :(
|
In all honesty was quite disappointed with the pre-release of the number 1 song... even it was by accident it ruined the whole occasion.... was pretty happy with the majority of songs included in the 100 but still to know the winner before it started kinda put a hinder on the whole thing.
|
I agree MoGs. No suspense was had.

Besides, looks like everyone who listens to nova have caught on to the hottest 100 now too. haha, pretty much; |
I reckon my most successful year I think.
#1 Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man #5 Bluejuice - Broken Leg #18 Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars #19 Muse - Undisclosed Desires #23 The Bloody Beetroots - Warp #51 Kasabian - Where Did All The Love Go #76 Julian Casablancas - 11th Dimension NO GO - N.A.S.A - Gifted (Ft. Lay it down was a s*** load more popular than 90% of those songs (on JJJ), however they weren't allowed to play it on nova, so it doesn't get in and no one who voted knew about it loools. |
