So i have one of these (item 1)
and one of these (item 2)
But i can't plug item 1 into item 2 as the AV port on the 360 is is being used by item 2.
What are my options? anyone using one of these cooling fans?
Get a bunch of RCA cables?
But RCA isn't the same as component? right? i mean they'll fit but they wont produce the same picture quality?

Nope, they're identical. The only difference is the colour of the plugs.
What's the purpose of item 2, just more inputs/outputs?
If so, why no HDMI?
What's the purpose of item 2, just more inputs/outputs?Purpose of Item 2 is it cools the xbox 360, as indicated by the thread title. It can also act a USB hub. Not sure why it doesn't have HDMI but you can't go wrong for $10 really.
wtf is a Cuqestion"cuqestion" is just a cool way of spelling it, it looks good coupled with "cooling", that's all.

Component relates to the video signal, RCA is just a style of connector.
Scuzzy saves the day
Yeah, but a layman doesn't really know there's a difference between a composite video signal and the RCA connectors used.
fixer f*** that cooling thing off, they draw more power and are more likely to make your machine f*** up from what i've heard. also it will solve your cable problm.
d0mino - The one in the picture is powered by USB. The dodgy ones use the 360's power connector.
Why do you need additional cooling?
Is it the whole !33+ pc thing with a gallion fans and lights to make it look like it goes faster?
ditch cooling console.
as long as your 360 has plenty of space around it and you don't flog it 24/7 you'll be right.
