sold thread (is that the etiquette?)

Anyway, to play GTA IV a normal direct input controller won't do, you need a true XBOX 360 controller. MS no longer make the USB ones and I'm not keen to lay down a hundred or so dorras on a PC wireless controller kit.

Anyone got a relic lying around they don't use? Will pay postage to cairns etc + a reasonable sum.

I use a PS2 controller with a USB adaptor and an 360 controller emulator. Works well.

I've only used it in GTA4, but the docos say that it works in a bunch of other games aswell.

The only thing my PS2 controllers don't have are the two analoge triggers, (L2 and R2 are regular buttons) and the 'home' button.

So you're saying you can't use any controller other than an xbox controller for the PC? keyboard? mouse? nothing? What a bunch of money grubbing c**** making you buy specific bits of hardware, I'm starting to hate MS more than I hate sony.

You can use keyboard and mouse, but driving is less than optimal without an analogue controller in that game.

I used to use a PS2 adapter but in the end i bit the bullet and got a 360 controller. Having the on screen display for the buttons is just soooo handy. Also most cross platform games that come out these days have full support too.

I think your best bet is going to be Umart, because I doubt many people will be willing to part with a working wired 360 controller. They're just too handy.
