Zoo Tycoon 2 by Blue Fang Games - English retail v22.03.00.0013 patch

Zoo Tycoon 2 patch v22.03.00.0013 improves performance and fixes a few issues with animals and guests.

Note: If your Zoo Tycoon 2 disc has the UBISOFT logo, you should not install this patch.

Here's what the patch includes:

- Improved game performance, especially on mid-range and high-end PCs.
- Fixed rendering problems on some NVidia video cards.
- The emperor penguin is no longer counted as a North American animal in the Foreign Zoo scenario.
- Fixed challenges in African Adventure that require you to adopt an unavailable animal.

You've installed the patch successfully if version number v22.03.00.0013 appears in the upper-right corner of the main menu when you start the game.


The Zoo Tycoon 2 Engine Update v20.11.00.0007 contains a performance enhancement and includes a number of fixes for Animal and Guest related issues.

Instructions

We recommend that you download the update manually, by following these steps:

1. Download and save the file to your hard drive. To do this right-click on the download link below and choose "Save Target As".

2. Once the file is saved to your computer, double click the zoo2patch.exe file and follow the on-screen prompts to install.

3. Launch Zoo Tycoon 2. You can confirm that it was installed successfully by checking the version number in the upper right hand corner of the main menu screen (it will read Version number 20.11.00.0007)

Once Zoo Tycoon 2 is updated, you should notice the following enhancements:

- Overall performance improvement, with the most noticeable gains on mid-range and high-end machines.
- Downloaded animals and objects now qualify towards winning scenarios and challenges.
- Gift items for downloaded animals now appear in the gift cart or gift store, along with the corresponding information panel.
- Tranquilizing and crating animals should not disrupt game play.
- Select campaign scenarios should now show completed goals and introductory text panels properly.
- Animal Stress challenge now allows for putting animals up for adoption without disqualifying players.
- Undo feature is enabled for terrain alteration.
- Animal illness eventually results in loss of the animal.
- Animals now avoid relieving themselves too close to their food dishes.
- Some animals can now escape from inadequate fences.
