Microsoft has announced that its flagship racer Forza Motorsport 5 will be having an open season this weekend, with all Xbox Live Gold subscribers able to try the game for free.

Starting at 5:00pm AEST on Friday, anyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription and an Xbox One will be able to download Forza Motorsport 5 and play the game at no charge until Sunday night. The reams of DLC released for Forza Motorsport 5 won't be available during the free trial, but players will have access to all of the game's core content, including career mode races, multiplayer modes and the game's full suite of vehicle customization options.

Full details on the weekend event can be found over on Xbox Wire. Wondering just what Forza Motorsport 5 has to offer? Check out our review over here!
