After a successful first closed beta test this past weekend for open-world sandbox MMO ArcheAge, developer Trion Worlds has today announced that the team will be continuing the testing frenzy with a second weekend planned for next week.

"This was an important test," Trion notes on their blog post in regards to the past closed beta test. "It was the first time our launch hardware and networks were load tested with real people, the first test for the new backend software integration present in our version of ArcheAge, the first load test for the store, and the first clean test of some of the gameplay westernizations in ArcheAge."

ArcheAge's second closed beta weekend will begin July 31st at 3:00AM AEST, and will run through to August 5th. Those who were previously in the first closed beta weekend sadly won't be given guaranteed access this time round, instead will be placed back in the pool of potential testers. Trion notes on the post that all Founder packs currently being sold give full access to Closed Beta events, so if you are super keen for the free-to-play MMO then head over to the store page for more info.

ArcheAge is expected to launch on Western shores sometime later this year as a free-to-play MMO. To find out what our community thought of the past weekend's event check out the forum post over here.
