After teasing their newest levelling UI changes, the brand-new Garden of Terror battleground, the controversial Artifacts and Rehgar the Shaman, Blizzard has today announced that the culminative patch is now here and ready for technical alpha users to test.

As mentioned, the new July 23rd update will be bringing in a new battleground, the Garden of Terror which involves collecting seeds and unleashing the Garden Terror onto your enemies. The newest hero to approach the ranks is Rehgar Earthfury, who wields potent Shaman abilities that are sure to devastate his enemies. These include a Ghost Wolf form, Chain Heal, Lighting Shield and the dreaded Bloodlust ultimate.

The levelling system has also been reworked with progressions rewards now reorganised and the Co-op and Versus modes no longer need to be unlocked which means you can jump right in without having to level-up. Hero Quests have also been renamed to to Hero Levels with XP points from playing Co-op and Versus matches counting toward player and hero level. Each hero will now have to level up separately to unlock Heroic Abilities and talents which means you’re going to have to work harder with each hero.

This marks a major update for Blizzard's MOBA, so be prepared to learn some new things when coming into the patch after maintenance concludes at 11:00AM AEST. A few of the changes have been considered controversial, however hopefully with enough feedback Blizzard will be able to tune the new content to the liking of the community, but for now its all about the testing.
