There's a heady mix of Triple-A games due this year, and while shooters continue to dominate the release schedules of most publishers, Bethesda has a title up its sleeves that might prove something of a GOTY dark horse when the year's dust settles.

The Evil Within is definitely a unique offering this year. It's a game that's as much about going back to a genre's roots as it as about helping that genre blossom once more with expanded, more modern ideas and it's being helmed by the father of the survival-horror genre itself, Shinji Mikami.

We spoke with him about his career and new game, click here for what he had to say.
