One of gaming's most popular MOBA's will soon be getting a visual and mechanical update to their most common map, Summoner's Rift, and developer Riot Games has revealed a new five minute video walking players through all of the changes.

According to the video below, Riot's goal with League of Legends' newest overhaul is to make all information on Summoner's Rift available to players in a more readable fashion. One of the bigger goals is to have players drawn to the most important information at the moment that is important - an example given was when a fight breaks out, players will find the information they need at a glance. Colour, particle effects and even lighting has been tweaked to avoid situations where players don't know what exactly is going on.

The video clocks in at just over five minutes in length, with a fair chunk of info to help keep you satisfied while we await a more official release date. For now, the updated Summoner's Rift is slated to drop sometime in the next few months, though it is available on the test client for those eager to get their hands dirty.
