Sony's conference continues to pull all the big punches, with publisher Deep Silver announcing the second mainline title in the Dead Island series, Dead Island 2.

Unlike the previous Dead Island that was developed by Techland, Dead Island 2 will be developed by Yager Development, makers of 2012's Spec Ops: The Line for 2K Games. Sony also noted that the PlayStation 4 edition will feature exclusive content.

Check out the CGI announcement trailer below showing off the zombies new look in Dead Island 2, which will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015. You'll also note a rather distinctive voice towards the end that I'm sure a number of metal fans will know.

So keen. Hopefully it's just as good as the original and expansion. That stupid top down game they released was rubbish and a waste of the IP.
