Kickstarter funded title Night In The Woods, an adventure and exploration game in-development by Finji, will be releasing on PlayStation 4, animator Scott Benson announced via the PlayStation Blog.

Successfully funded last year and also heading to PC and Mac, the game is set in the town of Possum Springs, "a dead-end backwater that is barely holding on after the mining jobs left." Its story follows Mae, a cat who dropped out of college, and her friends in Possum Springs. According to Benson, the game is about letting go and holding on.

"We wanted to create characters people could identify with and the kind of town a lot of people are from, but with more talking animal people," Benson wrote. " ... Night In The Woods is a game about the inevitability of death... and pizza parties."

A release date has yet to be announced, however you can check out the trailer below for more on the game.
