After a rather obvious teaser image yesterday suggesting that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be making its way to Sony's PlayStation systems, developer PopCap has today confirmed that such a thing is indeed happening, though we won't be seeing garden warfare until August 19th.

Pre-orders for Garden Warfare have opened up and come with two game-boosting digital card packs as well as PlayStation character-themed customization items for their plants and zombies. These include Hat Packs featuring content stylized after the Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper and Fat Princess games. Garden Warfare is also continuing the compatibility train with PlayStation Vita Remote Play support.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be launching for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 come August 19th, and you can expect gameplay footage to be shown during E3 2014 at Sony's booth. It is currently available already on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a PC launch coming June 26th.
