BioWare has released a new trailer and screenshots for the upcoming Dragon Age Inquisition, the hotly anticipated third entry into its fantasy RPG series, along with an official release date announcement for October 7th 2014 in North America and October 10th in Europe on PC, PS3, PS4, X360 and XB1 -- we've yet to confirm an Australian date, but it's most likely one of those, or in the middle somewhere.

[Update: The Australian date has been confirmed as October 9, with New Zealand following on October 10]

Although described as a gameplay trailer, the video doesn't contain much typical gameplay, but it does appear to be all rendered in the game's Frostbite-powered engine. Check it out below and hit the thumbnails for the full screenshot gallery.

Curious to see how much further the mantle API has come along with DA3.

I wonder if there will be more than 3 repeating dungeons in this one.
