Ahead of this weekend's PAX East games convention in the US, Tango Gameworks has released a new gameplay trailer for The Evil Within, the horror-themed game that the Japanese studio founded by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami is developing with publisher Bethesda Softworks.
In time for PAX East, watch our newest gameplay trailer for The Evil Within. The terrifying new trailer shows never-before-seen gameplay and gives a first look at fighting one of the game's most terrifying villains, Boxman.

Detective Sebastien Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After witnessing a mysterious force slaughter his fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When the video opens, he finds his world has been turned upside down. Fighting for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel who or what is behind this unimaginable evil.
The Evil Within is due on August 26th for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

hmm horror content seems high and of sufficient quality if not somewhat cliched but the grafix quality seems to be from a 2004 bad console port? That was some chunky animation. Hopefully its just an early build or the finished PC version will look 100 times better.
