Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure, the 2012 Kickstarted project by series creators Chris Jones and Aaron Conners, will be available come Apil 22nd on PC and Mac according to a new trailer release.

Launched way back in June of 2012, Tesla Effect reached its Kickstarter goal of $450k by surpassing it with an extra $148,000 to spare. Publisher Atlus has since picked it up, and today's release date has brought a handful of pre-order details as well through both GoG and Steam. Those that pre-order Tesla Effect will gain access to a previous game, The Pandora Directive, and the Tex Murphy Live Jazz soundtrack when it releases.

This will mark Tex's sixth outing, as he last appeared in 1998's Tex Murphy: Overseer. Tesla Effect follows the noble PI as he awakens with seven years wiped from his memory. Who did this to him and why is a mystery, so ol' Tex has to get to the bottom of things from his rundown Old San Francisco office.

To commemorate Tesla Effect's upcoming release, Atlus and developer Big Finish Games have released the following clip detailing some of Murphy's less glamorous moments.

So keen, I loved the Tex Murphy games back in the day. This looks like a good blend of new tech and just the right amount of old cheese :p

Recently bought the GOG release for $17 and a free Tex game (I got Overseer as its the last one they did and I never played it).
