After news that DICE's third expansion for their hit FPS Battlefield 4 was to be delayed on PC, the developer has today announced that the Xbox One version of Naval Strike will also be delayed for premium members.

Originally scheduled for release on the March 25th, DICE has revealed in an updated post on the Battlefield blog that the Xbox One version is being delayed "to address issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations."

The updated post also reveals that attempts are being made to launch the now delayed DLC in early April for both platforms, though no specific date has been given.

"We are trying to resolve these problems as quickly as possible and hope to release the update in early April for Xbox One and PC," the post reads. "We also want to remind Xbox One and PC owners of Battlefield 4 Premium that they will have two weeks early access for Naval Strike once it's released. Thanks for your continued patience and passion for our games."

Naval Strike launched late Tuesday night for Australian premium members on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360. A release for non-premium members will be scheduled for a later date.

They claim they won't bring out any expansions until the original game is fixed. The original game is still arguably f***ed, and the expansion is also so f***ed they can't even release it. Of course, being EA (or DICE, whichever), they explain this to players just mere hours before the original release time.

What other IPs does EA still have that aren't yet ruined? What part of EA are people taking seriously? Are you buying BF5?

I've promised myself, if the beta for BF5 isn't exactly how I think it should feel in vanilla - then the BF franchise is dead for me. I've played every Battlefield since the release of 1942, so they can't lose much more of a customer than this. As for BF4, I'm not even excited about extra maps anymore, which is really f*****g unfortunate.

The AR160? assault rifle, put M320 dart on it and the animation is you with two arms way up in the air, blocking all view, and the gun pointing downwards with the aiming circle somewhere in the middle of that mess. I was laughing and crying at the same time, it like its not even tested at all!

Im not looking forward to the new naval strike maps; kill cams are so rooted its not funny, and second strike maps turn into lag fests. Very much an exercise in frustration.

The strangest part of all of this is, how did they not notice until the last possible moment?

That is so telling about how rushed and how little testing is done to this game. No wonder it is still f***ed.

Hell read the latest patch notes. Patching bugs introduced in the last patch.

Some things are laughable, reducing the take off distances of jets, because in the Second Assualt maps the runways were too short. Did no one actually take a jet off on the runways before the maps were released???

Or one thing which has been a major gripe with me and the game. Players turning not being in sync with what other players see.

So a player turns and there's a significant delay before you see them turned. Hence all the shooting people in the back and side, then they turn and kill you. They were already facing you and shooting you.

Hopefully that's fixed and leads to better fixes with everyones game world being out of sync.

Still no mention of the nade bug, where you can chuck a nade see it fly away. Although it registers it being thrown while you were else where and so it had bounced back and kills you. With no indication until you just explode.
