In partnership with Russian publisher Obsidian Entertainment has announced Armored Warfare, a modern military MMO game built on CryEngine and designed as a "free-to-compete" title.
We’re thrilled to announce Armored Warfare, a new free-to-play massively multiplayer online tactical military video game that puts you in control of some of the most incredible, modern destructive machines to grace a battlefield. Drive modern tanks, armored vehicles and more in this strategic warfare shooter, and blow your enemies to smithereens.

You won’t just be piloting these awesome vehicles, however, but also be responsible for their maintenance and evolution. Upgrade your tanks with all-new weapons, components and more, and make sure you have the right ammo for each battle.
Plans for a closed beta on PC in 2014 suggest that the game hsa been in the works for quite some time. Beta sign-ups are already open over on the official website. Watch the launch trailer below.

Not sure how good this is going to be, considering it's "modern" tanks.

Pretty sure modern armour is almost entirely useless against modern firepower. So this game is going to be either stupidly arcadey (WoT will kill it) or it will be one-shot-kills-everything realism (war thunder will kill it).

Honestly don't really see the point *shrug*

Looks like a modern version of WoT, better engine and all.

Also WarThunder Tanks in Simulation Mode is awesome IMO, probably still another 2-3months away from Open Beta Test (OBT) however.
