IGN has gotten its hands on The Art of Titanfall, presumably the official 190-page hardcover book of concept art that will be found in the expensive collector's edition of the game next month, and some of the imagery and descriptions included within appear to corroborate a bunch of new details about more of the maps and weapons that will be featured in the game.

On Monday we reported that data-mining of the Titanfall beta client had revealed references to a total of 14 maps and several additional weapons not seen in the beta, and they all look to have been verified in IGN's video walkthrough of the art book (watch it below).

Perhaps most interesting, is the amount of organic beasties scattered throughout the concept art, ranging from small winged creatures up to huge mountain-sized leviathan. No mention has been made of Titan pilots fighting another other than fellow humans and their own mechanical titans in the game yet, so the prospect of maps also being populated by some other manner of hostile creature is rather tantalising.

Titanfall is set to feature a full 'campaign multiplayer' mode, wherein players will advance through the complete series of maps in a manner supposedly much more story-driven than the straight-up competitive modes found in the beta, so perhaps this will be where we might encounter these alien creatures.

It's only a few weeks out fro the game's launch, and developer Respawn Entertainment appears to still be holding tight on a lot of information about the game. It seems there will be a few surprises in store as we approach the March 13 2014 launch date on PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

It stands to reason doesn't it. I mean, I can't imagine any other reason why we would be publishing a lot of articles about a game that we already know everything about and nobody is really interested in.
