Electronic Arts has announced that their much-anticipated mech shooter Titanfall will be delayed on the Xbox 360, pushing it back to a March 28th release.

EA's executive vice president Patrick Söderlund took to the company's website to reveal the news, stating that the delay will give the the Xbox 360 developer Bluepoint Games "the time they need to put the finishing touches on the current-gen version of the game.[...]The extra two weeks will ensure the full world of Xbox gamers has an awesome experience."

The Windows PC and Xbox One version of the game by Respawn Entertainment are still on track for a March 13th release, Söderlund states. Sadly there still has been no word on how exactly Australian and Oceanic players will be playing, with recent news of no local servers on launch, but hopefully we'll hear more on the situation as we get closer to release.
