Colour us not surprised, but EA's recent third quarter 2014 earnings call has revealed that Respawn Entertainment's upcoming mech-infused mutliplayer FPS Titanfall is preparing for future content updates.
"We're planning extra content already for the product," EA boss Andrew Wilson said during today's investor call, "but in the nature of the live service, I think that that will evolve over time as we see how the player base evolves through the year." Wilson failed to offer any further details on what that content may be, but Respawn has previously outlined that Titanfall will not be including any pesky microtransactions.
The call also shed some light on how the finances behind Respawn's Titanfall have been negotiated, with EA projecting the title to sell "conservatively" because of its platform exclusive on consoles. Interestingly, the company has also sealed up exclusive rights to the game's revenue to begin with, up to an undisclosed sales threshold. The publisher does not expect to start having to share revenue with Respawn until some time in fiscal year 2015, which begins on April 1, 2014.
Titanfall, exclusive to the PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360, is set to launch on March 13.
