Fans of BioWare-styled storytelling and Nintendo's Fire Emblem series are in a bit of luck, where The Banner Saga is concerned.

The game's small development team consists of ex-BioWare peeps and the style of game they've gone for, is built around the tactics/turn-based RPG rules of games like Nintendo's aforementioned beloved series. It also has some pretty slick art to flesh out its narrative and story bits and, well, with all of these factors in front of you, you could be forgiven for diving right on in. But you might want to read Kosta "Toadovsky" Andreadis' review first, because as great as all these ingredients sound, there's always room for trouble, right?

In related news. Game maker King, the people behind Candy Crush Saga is claiming copyright for the use of the word "saga" in "The Banner Saga". This comes a few days after they successfully argued to have the rights to the word "candy" in relation to games.

What a bunch of cocks.

For those of you thinking if you may or may not like the turn based tactical stuff, give Card Hunter a go. A free game that is actually really good and doesn't try to bleed you of cash.
