While the hotly anticipated Titanfall isn't out the door yet, two of the former Call of Duty veterans that Followed Respawn Entertainment's founders on their way out of Infinity Ward have gone even more independent, founding a new studio, Scary Mostro, and now looking at Kickstarter to fund their debut venture.

Planned as a co-development between Scary Mostro and fellow LA indie devs Section Studios, Two the Death hopes to be a mix between the classic side-scrolling beat 'em ups and shoot em' ups of the 80s and 90s -- name dropping Double Dragon, Final Fight and Gradius -- with the sensibilities of contemporary action games.

Single Player in To the Death is played from each warrior's perspective. You alternate control over each of the two warriors on a collision course with each other, each side moving in opposing directions.
