We recently learned that Banished, the medieval city builder by solo dev Luke Hodorowicz, will finally be available next month on February 18, so what better way to celebrate the long-awaited countdown than an hour's worth of gameplay.

This new footage gives us a great overview of the ebb and flow for the final version, one that Hodorowicz has been working on for many years now completely by himself. Unlike videos released by Hodorowicz in the past, this video follows a new settlement from the very beginning and shows off a lot of the little tools and features in Banished that will help create one excitingly comfy game.

Banished will launch itself on February 18th through Steam, so while you wait get yourself comfy and check out the video below.

Quite possibly the dullest looking game I have ever seen...

I'm really excited about this. It'll fill the void that Sim City, Gnomoria, Castle Story, etc just can't fill.

I love city building. Getting pumped for it by playing Crusader Kings 2, even though it's almost a completely different game. But, #yolo
