With Spike TV's annual commercialised videogame awards show VGX 2013 (formerly Spike VGAs) airing tomorrow at 9am AEST, Steam has jumped on board to offer up some of the nominees on the cheap in anticipation of what new and exciting games will be revealed during the show.

The partial list includes the likes of BioShock Infinite for $19.99, Tomb Raider for $9.99, Rayman Legends for $17.47 and indie hit The Stanley Parable for $8.99. On top of that, there's the high-octane title Farcry 3: Blood Dragon for $6.10 and Metro: Last Light for $23.79. You can find the full list of games up for cheap over on Steam's sale page.

VGX 2013 will air on an assortment of Viacom-owned TV channels at 15:00 PST on December 7 2013 (which is a rather pleasant 10am Sydney time, this coming Sunday, December 8th), and will also be streaming live on Steam, Twitch, Hulu, Yahoo, and GameTrailers, as well as on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Some streams have been nonsensically geo-locked in previous years, but judging by the variety of sources this time around, that shouldn't be an issue.

sadly, it looks like GTA5 has won GOTY since everyone from rockstar is flying out to the awards.

or maybe GTA5 just made so much money that everyone from rockstar are bored of flying to exotic locations around the world for fun and just decided to go cause they have nothing better to do?

I thought the new CoD was universally panned but apparently it's nominated since it's "on sale".

I keep thinking about buying NBA2k14 but then I keep remembering that it's not the next gen version.

Yeah. It sucks that they didn't do a decent port. Maybe next year we'll get a good port.
