As the release date for Pikmin 3 grows closer, with Japan already getting their hands on the Wii U exclusive title, Nintendo has revealed a new TV commercial to help prepare you for what lies ahead in commanding an army of Pikmin.

Featuring a young boy commanding his flowery forces to battle a plantlike crab creature, the commercial does include a brief glimpse at some new gameplay, including a look at the UI and puzzle solving.

The third title in the Pikmin series will see a release on July 27 only for Nintendo Wii U.

Japanese ads were way better. Looking forward to this one. Always felt bad for never getting the previous Pikmins.

and it's released July 27th in Australia

Ah cheers glynd, fixed. I think I'll end up getting the older titles as well for maximum Pikmin adventures.

Clearly one of the most violent and repulsive games i have ever seen. You invade a planet, enslave the local population and use that population to eradicate what ever is left, all so you can steal the planets resources for your own. Sure it looks like a fun game at first, but the story behind the content is actually quite depressing. Won't stop me playing it tho. So chill out before you loose your s*** at my comment you whacko, Yes that's right, I mean you.
