As expected, EA and DICE has lifted the veil on the next addition to the popular Battlefield franchise with Battlefield 4. A demo was shown to press at a special event in San Francisco today, and now you can take a look yourself with this 17 minute gameplay trailer titled "Fishing in Baku".
The "Fishing in Baku" video is shot entirely in-game and is the first glimpse of the human, dramatic, and believable single player campaign in Battlefield 4.Battlefield 4 is due in Spring (Northern Fall) 2013.
The official site is now taking pre-orders for the PC, and Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are also confirmed there. No word on others yet, but PS4, and the next generation Xbox seem likely, but Wii U, less so.
Update: Some more details have made their way out via an official press release:
Powered by the advanced technology of DICE’s proprietary Frostbite™ 3 engine, Battlefield 4 offers players a glimpse into the future of interactive entertainment – a future that is more human, dramatic and believable than anything before it. With more than 65 million players worldwide, the Battlefield series has consistently been praised by critics for its world-class multiplayer gameplay, and is recognized as the only game that allows players to own land, sea and air.Watch the embeded video below for some Bonnie Tyler-fuelled action.
