There are a number of trends rocking our gaming world now, and not a huge amount of risk is being taken as a result. But Syfy Imagine and Trion Worlds have combined to walk an ambitious path towards total transmedia sychronisation.

There're plenty of IPs out there that branch beyond games, but none specifically overlap, or even affect, one another. However in Defiance, a new game and TV show launching almost side-by-side, this is the ultimate plan.

We had a chance to check out the game side of things and learn more about this ambition, all of which you can read about by clicking here.

They have it the wrong way around I reckon. Series should be more in gamers favour. Game more affecting it rather than other way around.

That's the goal for the second season, the trouble is when you're kicking off a new IP like this and spending millions across both, you need to have some control over it all for establishment purposes.
