A new photo has surfaced via Reddit of the curious PlayStation controller that was yesterday revealed on Destructoid, however this time giving a closer look at the new controller. Rumoured to be an early prototype of Sony's new Dualshock control pad, the controller will most likely accompany the next PlayStation console, codenamed PlayStation Orbis.

While we don't fully know what exactly the controller's interesting features will do, many are believing that the rectangular area could be the heavily rumoured touchpad area with an additional built-in speaker below. The new photo also reveals a clearer look at the possible headphone jack underneath and a glimpse at what could potentially be the PlayStation Move controller's colour-coordinated aesthetic at the top.

As rumours continue to fly around, Sony is gearing up for an announcement at a New York "PlayStation Meeting" event on February 20th, where many believe the company will reveal their next-gen system and we'll be able to get a more finalised idea of the new console and controller form-factors.
