![]() Containing six tiers, each one will hold up to 250 players or teams, with five divisions in each tier. Players competing in the third season will find a new 'League Points' system that once filled up will progress you through to the next division, and eventually a higher tier. Sharing similarities with Blizzard's StarCraft 2, the new ladder system hopes to shed the dread that players found with a single ladder which contained all competing players in the one pool. For those looking at wanting to compete, you will have to own at least 16 champions (not including free ones) and compete in a series of placement matches before being sorted into a league. For those who are lucky enough to ascend to the challenger tier will have a chance to go pro, competing in worldwide championships. Riot has provided a lengty FAQ on their main website, plus a detailed infographic that can be viewed over here.

For example, like 5 different damage types for physical, different armour types, not many skill shots, heroes not really scaling (excepting ADC's). Also, there are the abilities that hit like entire screen lengths away that aren't long ulti's, etc.
I like LoL's gameplay style and updates they've made to modernize the game-type, but the lag is fucking horrendous...
