 EA has also announced that not just the sports titles will be getting their online cut, but popular title The Sims 2 will have its online service turned off on January 14th. January 19th will also see iOS title Trenches 2 get switched to off mode as well. EA has assured those still playing the titles (or looking to purchase a copy) affected that the offline portion will still be accessible.

I wonder if they have a disclaimer that the multiplayer portion of their titles is only available for 2 years.
