During today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo of Europe's President Satoru Shibata has revealed an early 2013 release date for the Wii U exclusive open-world detective title LEGO City: Undercover, however it isn't known whether this is inclusive of the launch line-up which ends in March.

Among the release date revealed, the Nintendo Direct has also revealed a new gameplay trailer showing off the many ways that undercover detective Chase McCain will infiltrate and complete his objectives. The trailer also reveals details about how the Wii U gamepad controller will be used, ranging from a map overview to using the gyroscope camera to scan your surroundings for clues and hidden special blocks. Haha, love the Shawshank Redemption references.

I'm actually really looking forward to this, is it Wii U exclusive?

Yep. It'll probably stay exclusive too, since it's being published by Nintendo.

They do upscale, but not as well as say the Dolphin Wii emulator. The graphics are currently on par with Xbox 360 and PS3, so really it will just be how far the devs can push themselves to make new shinier looking stuff.

That's because Dolphin doesn't upscale, it renders at a higher resolution.

Basically, the correct answer is no, Wii games don't look better on the Wii U.
