The Australian Competitor and Consumer Commission has sent out a product safety recall (thanks Scooter) for the Spartan branded rechargeable batteries sold at EB Games through 1st June 2011 to 26th September 2012, stating that "some battery packs the two charging connections may have been reversed" which can have a high possibility of catching on fire.

If anyone has bought a pack of these batteries, you should immediately stop using them and return the batteries or products containing batteries, to any EB Games store for a full refund of the orginal purchase price. No receipt will be required.

You can find your local EB Games store by using the following tool.
