Sony Online Entertainment has taken a different method of producing in-game footage, this time calling upon players of their PlanetSide 2 beta to help out in a new campaign that see real players taking part.

The first trailer to come from the new campaign features Black Widow Company, and shows off some real player fights instead of what usually is staged in-house footage. If you feel like rounding up a team, you can send an email to fanspam@planetside2.com for a chance to be featured in a trailer like this.

PlanetSide 2 is currently in beta, with an expected release on November 20th. There is currently one Oceanic server available for those in the beta, however no news as to whether there will be more upon release.

I don't think they need more than 1 oceanic server anyway.

I want to play more of the beta but I don't want to advance too munch in it and then have my soldiers wiped ready for live on the 20th.

lol @ the email "fanspam"

Also, it's too fun to not play Blade :)

Hopefully the Aussie server fills up quick on launch though, bit of a ghost town there half the day.

The annoying thing is the Aussies who say "I don't wanna go there, there's no people playing" so they don't go... Well, why do you think there are no people!?

Bloody idiots, just go there already!
