Confirming all of the recent rumour and speculation, Rockstar Games has now officially revealed that their expected launch window for the hugely anticipated Grand Theft Auto V is Autumn 2013 (Northern Spring), for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.

Starting next week November 5, 2012, Grand Theft Auto V will become available for pre-order everywhere and fans can expect a host of new information to become available in November.
The announcement leaves the fate of a probable PC version up in the air, but eager desktop gamers spamming the comments of Rockstar's official site prompted only this response:
Hey guys, glad to see so much enthusiasm about the release announcement. For those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time. Anyone that continues to spam the comments section will have their commenting privileges suspended.
A single tasty new piece of promotional art was also revealed, hit the thumb below for a closer look. Rockstar has promised some wallpaper-friendly versions of it shortly.

I am beginning to dislike RockStar and their anti-PC bullshit.

As I expected, no PC for launch. Then a year down the track once sales has slowed they will announce it to get another surge.

If we have a short wait and an excellent port like Max Payne 3 was then I have no problem with this. I pretty much upgraded my PC specifically for this and Arma 3 so I will be a little disappointed if I don't get to play it :(

I don't mind waiting a few months, but if it's as long as GTA IV I don't think I will give Rockstar my money.

I'll be pissed if they pull a Red Dead though.
