In an effort to help quell the naysayers, Ninja Theory has revealed at New York Comic Con over the weekend that a playable demo of their forthcoming reimagining of Dante and co in DmC (Devil May Cry), will drop before the game is officially released (thanks: Joystiq).
Since its unveiling, the game has had an uphill battle bringing on-side the series' die-hards, despite the Western studio behind the game being one of competent and creative pedigree. (Their last effort, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, was met with high-praise industry-wide.)
DmC is due to arrive on PS3 and Xbox 360 January 15, 2013.
