The studio behind the very successful Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, Monster Dash, Raskulls and Age of Zombies has submitted a calling card for junior programmers and junior designers on the
Australian and New Zealand website Tsumea. The job listing is offering two positions, a Client/Server Programmer and a Gameplay Programmer, each being full-time jobs.
Client/Server Programmer
We are seeking a really smart problem solver to handle our support requests who is:
interested in developing backend games technology
a good C++ programmer
experienced with or willing to learn server programming (PHP & Javascript)
Gameplay Programmer
We are seeking a crack programmer who knows how to make fun games and can read a designer’s mind. You also need:
strong knowledge of C++
the ability to self-manage tasks
to possess a strong sense of gameplay design and theory
the ability to quickly prototype and demonstrate gameplay mechanics
previous iPhone or Nintendo DS experience beneficial but not mandatory
The studio is also looking out for some more Junior Designers, with the chance to offer great insight into upcoming game development projects. You'll obviously want to be passionate about gaming and understand the processes behind game design, but if this sounds like your kind of thing then be quick to send off a resume.
