A new screenshot for Gearbox Software's well-received Borderlands 2 offers us the first in-game look at the Mechromancer, the star of the upcoming downloadable content expansion of the same name, that will add a fifth playable character class to the game.

The Mechromancer DLC is due on October 16th for 800 MS Points on Xbox 360, and the equivalent in $AU on PC and PlayStation 3. Members of the Borderlands Premiere Club (pre-order customers) will reportedly receive the DLC free of charge.
