![]() Obsidian has revealed that the splash page was actually for their upcoming game Project Eternity, which will be a Kickstarter funded isometric party-based RPG. The game will be set in a fantasy world that will pay homage to some of the classic RPG's like Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment. Project Eternity aims to recapture the magic, imagination, depth, and nostalgia of classic RPGs that we enjoyed making - and playing. At Obsidian, we have the people responsible for many of those classic games and we want to bring those games back… and that’s why we’re here - we need your help to make it a reality! The Kickstarter page has a goal of $1.1 million however currently it has more than $602,000 in just under a few hours of going live. The end date will be in 32 days so if you feel like the world is missing some classic RPG's than head over to the Kickstarter page for a heap more on the background of the game plus a list of the rewards for donating. Check out the Kickstarter trailer below for a preview of the game and the developers.

FFFF I've gotta stay away from Kickstarter...
that'll be the 15th thing I've backed (13 of which are games)
Just did the maths on what I've thrown at Kickstarter over the past few months O_O ....I think I need a hobby.
