ArenaNet and NCSoft have today announced that the recent closing of digital and retail sales for their Guild Wars 2 MMO has now been lifted, allowing eager players to purchase the title anywhere.

The temporary close of sale was initiated just two days after the official release of the MMO, with ArenaNet stating that the huge influx in demand had to be stemmed while they ensured that those who had bought the game the best online experience.
Since suspending sales, ArenaNet and NCsoft have substantially expanded the game’s capacity by deploying new servers in both North America and Europe, and by nearly doubling the number of customer support agents. Game systems that have been under extremely heavy demand, such as the Trading Post, have been bolstered and prepared for the continued influx of players.

“Preserving the customer experience has always been our top priority," said Mike O’Brien, president and cofounder of ArenaNet. "We’re supporting Guild Wars 2 for the long run. We’ll always do what it takes to deliver the best online gaming experience for our customers, even when that means throttling sales.”
To celebrate the continuation of sales, ArenaNet has released a new trailer titled "Our Time is Now" which was surprisingly directed by James McTeigue, known for his work in the Matrix Trilogy and V for Vendetta.

You can check out the trailer below or head over here for HD. If you haven't yet, you can also check out our recent review for Guild Wars 2 over here for a look at what we thought of the latest MMO release.

Pretty bad trailer, I see the whole revolt against the MMO status quo but still meh. Game is good though.

Good call by AN.

Launch stability is so important. You get a week or two MAX where shit can be a little wonky.
