After only two weeks, the Kickstarter project for Planetary Annihilation has now exceeded its US$900,000 funding goal, allowing development to continue independently at developer Uber Entertainment on their hopeful spiritual success to the classic RTS games Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander.

Past the primary goal, Uber has defined several stretch goals, pledging to add "naval units and water planets" at US$1,100,000 and "gas giants and enhanced orbital units" at US$1,300,000, and has three secretive "locked" stretch goals still to reveal if the project goes even further beyond that.

You can watch a celebratory video from the dev team below, and head over to the Kickstarter page if you're yet to get in on this one and want to part some coin.

Such a spectacular project.

I'm going to raise my pledge to help get those stretch goals funded.

Needs more stretch goals, but I'm sure they're keeping some 'up their sleeve' to put the squeeze on toward the end of their campaign.

A tribute, and strong showing to those who enjoy strategy games that have a 'more grand' scale and appeal.

I always loved reclaiming destroyed mechs in TA. I'd have a small army of construction bots just cleaning up after battles.

Nice, I'm excited to play this.

Just started playing Sins of a Solar Empire and it's pretty epic.
