Gamification Co, a gamification advocacy group promoting the process of using videogame mechanics to enhance non-game contexts, has announced that they will be bringing their GSummit event to Australia later this year.
G'day Australia! We're happy to announce that we're bringing GSummit--(the biggest and most successful gamification event) to Melbourne, Australia this 12-13 November 2012. As gamification has quickly become the hottest topic in business, companies are realizing that it is a must have strategy to engage consumers and/or employees. GSummit Australia will we bring together top experts in gamification, engagement & loyalty over 2 days.
The event will be led by Gamification Co founder Gabe Zichermann, who some may know from his appearance in the popular TED talks, and the conference will include 15 speakers that include reps from Commonwealth Bank of Australia, IBM, AFL and ABC TV.

Seemingly targeted predominantly at a corporate audience, ticket prices start at A$595 for the conference only, and A$1,850 for the additional workshop, so clearly not for the average punter, but perhaps worth a look into for businesses interested in using videogame thinking to attract and engage customers. Complete details can be found over at gsummit.com.

It makes sense to see the AFL involved, their stuff at the National Sports Museum at the MCG is well worth a visit! It is all based on the game engine from AFL Live 2011 with credit given to Big Ant.
