With the 2012 GamesCom expo about to get underway in Cologne, Germany, there's bound to be a few new surprises that weren't ready in time for E3 back in June, as well as another look at many hot upcoming games that are edging closer to completion.

Before the GamesCom conference proper kicks off on Wednesday (CEST), Electronic Arts will be presenting their 2012 goods at a pre-show press briefing, and they've invited us to watch.

Presuming the embed code they've sent our way is genuine, and not just an elaborate Rickroll, you can tune into the video below when the event kicks off in a few hours (late tonight for Australians). If for whatever reason it doesn't work, it should also be available over on EA's GamesCom site.

The EA GamesCom 2012 Press Briefing starts at 4pm, August 14 local time (CEST), which translates to Midnight tonight in Sydney, 10pm for Perth, 11pm in Adelaide, or 2am tomorrow in Auckland.

According to EA, we can expect to see more of Dead Space 3, Need for Speed Most Wanted, SimCity, FIFA 13, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel, Crysis 3, "and much more".

[Update: Show's over, folks]
