Trailer Showcases Call of Duty: Black Ops II Multiplayer with Futuristic Gadgets

With the next Call of Duty taking place in the year 2025, it isn't a surprise to see futuristic weaponry and gadgets in the first multiplayer trailer for Black Ops 2. Featuring shock like grenades that stick in the ground to riot shields that can finally be placed standing up, it looks to be quite a gadget filled title compared to recent ones.

If it was <$20 AUD on steam I would buy it. I just wish they would use a new engine, Can't keep adding on to the current/old one. The gameplay would be typical CoD, small maps and very little if any recoil on the weapons. Just a few tweaks and it might be a worthwhile purchase when on special.

COD4 was great. WAW was pretty damn good. The problem is MW2 on wards the cracks began to show.
Blops was better but it just showed how tired the franchise was. MW3 MP was terrible SP was fine. I just wish I could have bought that separately.

On the same engine tweaked. I don't blame them. They're working on a next gen COD for when the new consoles are out.

Think about it. They either spend a bunch of time and money to make a next gen engine now. Then put out games in a half arsed version of the engine of it to fit current consoles. Or they just wait until next gen consoles and do it properly.

DICE with BF3 jumped the gun and the game and engine suffered because it's constantly held back. There's a point, why build an engine for Next Gen consoles when you have to use it on old gen?

Crytek it's a bit different. With Crysis 1 they didn't worry about consoles and built a super advanced engine to work with already. So with Cryengine 3. They just improved, added features while focusing on getting it to work for current gen consoles.

With COD, I think it's annoying but fine if they're just waiting for next gen consoles before they reveal the next engine.

WAW4lyfe. COD4 was awesome but IMO i thought the MP of COD5 was tonnes better. Just preferred the maps and guns and none of the helicopter deaths upon spawning. I lost so many hours to that game, fucking loved it. MP40 spray n pray or M1 Garand sniping - awesome times.

i just hope they have the cod coins thing again so you can just save up and by the gun you want. not have to reach level a million like modern warfare does.

what? jumped the gun? How about they are just ahead and doing things the right way and focusing on PC gamers first, THEN focusing on consoles because thats what gives them the advantage, instead of milking every last dollar out of consumers for the same old shit.

But please educate me on how BF3 has suffered.
