Speculation had been heavy that next year's E3 event would be changing locations away from its traditional Los Angeles home, but today the expo's governing body, the ESA has announced that they have reached an agreement with Los Angeles city officials that will see E3 remain in the City of Angels for at least the next 3 years, with E3 2013 now scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 11-13 2013.

The Verge by the ESA explain that the biggest point of concern was the construction of a new NFL football stadium in Downtown LA, the construction of which would encroach on the Convention Centre and necessitate the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of one of E3's primary booth areas, the West Hall.
However, ESA has reportedly received assurances from city officials and Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa that the Farmer's Field stadium construction will be managed to accommodate E3's needs, and stressed the event's significance and importance to the city of Los Angeles.
