Normally you'd think something like this was a bit panderous, but given the actual setting and period of Assasssin's Creed III, Ubisoft are more than forgiven for today's "Independence" trailer.

Not a lot of new footage is shown here, but it has the typical Ubisoft stylish edge, and until the game is released later this year, we can't get enough of what could very well be the best entry in the Assassin's Creed series yet. Until then, we're happy to digest images of the revolutionary war, snow-covered fields of battle lit by moonlight, naval conflicts and a bit of good old hand-to-hand.
