Blizzard has today announced their plans to showcase its latest games at this years Gamescom, Germany's largest interactive entertainment trade fair. While no word has been said about any new games being announced at the event, the biggest announcement/reveal will be the new Mists of Pandaria opening cinematic, World of Warcraft's fourth expansion.
The world premiere of the World of Warcraft®: Mists of Pandaria™ opening cinematic, the latest creation from Blizzard’s award-winning cinematics team, will be shown on giant screens at Blizzard’s booth on Thursday, August 16, the first fully public day of the event.

Visitors to the Blizzard Entertainment booth (B21 in Hall 6.1) at gamescom 2012 will also have the chance to try out the newest entries from Blizzard’s three major franchises.
Attendees will be able to play with the new expansion for World of Warcraft, plus try out the upcoming StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm multiplayer mode. There will also be Diablo 3 booths available for anyone who is itching for some mouse clicking.

Keep an eye on AusGamers as we gear up for Gamescom 2012 and the inevitable announcements that are sure to come out, including the Mists of Pandardia cinematic.

I heard Bobby K will leap up on stage during the event, punch a Panda and scream "Vivendi are selling Actiblizzard off because of slow releases like this! We should just release each patch as premium DLC"

He will then be beaten by the Panda with sticks of Bamboo.

It would make for a far more exciting event then the unveiling of a standard Blizz-trailer.

I wish MoP was out now. I need some new scenery to look at. I hope it's going to be as awesome as I'm telling myself. hehe
