Tribes: Ascend Now Available on Steam; New Modes and Starter Pack

Hi-Rez Studios has today announced that their fast paced shooter Tribes: Ascend is now available on Steam for free. The multiplayer shooter is equipped with two new game modes and an exclusive Steam Starter Pack to celebrate the new home ground, and is also offering several localised languages.

The updated version of Tribes: Ascend available on Steam will introduce a new Capture The Flag map called Stonehenge and a new Team Deathmatch map, Stonehenge as well as first-person spectator mode to support the growing Tribes competitive community.

The game is also being localized to support German, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. Beta versions of these languages are available in the latest patch, with final versions and support for additional languages on the way.

Sure is d^, just have to use it in-game, click EXTRAS and then click REDEEM PROMOTION to get your glorious gold.

Just downloaded Ascend and now its out on Steam GG. Oh well, would rather have it linked to my steam, its worth the extra few gigs.

Ooooh this is really cool! Just reinstalled it myself actually, wonder if there's a way to just copy the majority of the files into the steamapps folder to prevent having to redownload?

Hmmm forgot about this game because I got dota2 around the same time. Might re download in steam and have a whirl this weekend.
